SystmOne Practices: Preparing for Installation

SystmOne Practices: Preparing for Installation

To begin using Apex, we will firstly need to install the software at practice level to stream data from your clinical system.

The Strategic Reporting function within SystmOne allows practices to obtain a daily incremental extract of data from the clinical system. This requires local configuration in order to ensure the correct data is gathered and scheduled to run overnight on the Gateway PC.
The first step in establishing Strategic Reporting is to create a Strategic Reporting Organisation Group. The below steps will describe how to action this, but please note that it is vital that you inform us when this has been actioned by contacting support@edenbridgehealthcare.com.
Once the below steps have been actioned, we will need to liaise with TPP SystmOne Setup to ensure this group is activated. Once this has been actioned, we will get in touch to progress with the onboarding of Apex.

Creating a Strategic Reporting Organisation Group

1. From the Main Menu, select Setup > Users & Policy > Organisation Groups.

2. Select New Group in the top left-hand corner. This will be named Apex followed by your ODS Code, e.g. Apex A12345

3. Click on the house icon next to Parent Organisation Group. Click on the tick box at the top to only view groups that your organisation is part of. Choose your ICB or Place. Click Ok.

Please note, this data will not be shared with any other organisation as a result of creating this group/having Apex installed. Data sharing is managed separately within the Apex platform and is managed by the practice users directly. Click here to learn more

4. Click on the function/speciality drop down menu and choose Strategic Reporting.
5. Enter a brief description – such as ‘to populate the Apex dashboards and reports’.
6. Tick the second option down next to membership terms: ‘Membership must be approved by your organisation’.
7. Tick the ‘Strategic Reporting group’ box.
8. Once you click Ok, you will see a window relating to Configured List Options. Click Cancel.
9. You will then receive the following message, but this DOES NOT require action until all configuration is completed. We will complete this step for you and liaise with TPP SystmOne on your behalf regarding the activation of this Strategic Reporting organisation group.

Please do let us know when this has been actioned so we can liaise with TPP SystmOne setup on your behalf and progress with the onboarding as soon as possible.

Please get in touch when this has been complete or with any questions on support@edenbridgehealthcare.com.
