Clinical and Consultation Data | Patient Interaction

Clinical data can be found throughout Apex and is primarily informed by coded care entries utilised at source within the clinical system. For example, our Long Term Condition reporting is based on QOF coding; this gives an extra dimension to the analysis of who is using your services and where your efforts are best placed for improvement. Furthermore, consultation data can also be found throughout Apex; such as in Access & Demand > Clinical Activity as well as in the Clinician Appraisal report. Consultation data is informed by Encounter Types from your clinical system that have been marked as a Patient Interaction in the Apex settings. Defining the Encounter Types that involve a Patient Interaction for your practice will ensure that Apex accurately represents your consultation activity within the system. 

 












To configure this data, navigate to Settings > Patient Interaction. 
Click the blue 'Edit' button to view the full range of Encounter Types that have been extracted from your clinical system. Tick each one that is considered a patient interaction within your practice. Each Encounter Type that is selected will contribute to the analytics shown above.
