Appointment Data | Mode of Contact

Mode of Contact driven data can be found throughout the entire Apex system. It is informed locally by the Apex settings, rather than the slot properties in the clinical system.

These categorisations, as well as the Service selected, form analytics such as the graph belowYou can find mode of contact breakdown for previous appointments in the Appointment Activity dashboard and mode of contact analytics for future offered appointments in the Capacity Planning module.

Navigate to Settings > Mode of Contact, where you have the option to configure each slot type accordingly based on the following options:
      Face to Face
      Telephone
      Home Visit
      Digital
      Care Related Activity
      Admin & Staff Activities

To speed up the process, you can utilise the Auto Assign and Bulk Assign tools shown at the top.
Auto Assign will pick up on key words associated with each slot type and will organise slots into each category. Review each tab and tick each slot type if it is indeed the assumed mode of contact.
Bulk Assign will allow you to update slots on mass.

Once you have made your selection, click 'Save' in the top right corner. This will then populate various aspects of Apex with relevant Mode of Contact data.

Hint: if Apex determines that 60% of slot types are Face to Face, what it really means is 60% of the slot types selected within that Service configuration have been categorised as Face to Face in the Mode of Contact settings.
